If you have been diagnosed with a dust related disease or illness
such as asbestosis, mesothelioma, asbestos related pleural disease and others from exposure at work (or elsewhere) then you are likely to be entitled to claim compensation.
Claims for Dust Diseases can be made to the Dust Diseases Board (DDB) which provides claimants with weekly payments and payment of medical treatment expenses. A DDB claim does not affect your right (or family’s right) to potentially claim common law damages for negligence as set out in the next paragraph.
The Dust Diseases Tribunal (DDT) handles claims for compensation for those suffering from a dust disease that has been contracted as a result of an employer’s and/or manufacturer’s negligence. A successful claimant receives a lump sum.
Depending on the nature and extent of a dust related illness a claim may need to be made very quickly to protect your rights and the rights of your family. Therefore please make an urgent appointment to see Mark if you are in this situation.
All Dust Disease claims are handled on a ‘no win no fee’ basis.
